Welcome to Worcestershire & Warwickshire Metal Detecting Club.                                           

The club was founded in September 2014 as members only club to be able to give people the oppertunity to be able to detect and enjoy the hobby.  We arrange regular searches all over the u.k  . We charge each of our members £10 for each search they attend which we give to a charity of the land owners choice or to the land owner on the day of the search.  

Wwmdc carefully chooses all of our members who all strictly follow club rules and follow all country side codes of conduct at all times. Each member has their own public liability insurance up to £10,000,000.  

We currently we have 64 members who are all passionate about the hobby and our history .

These are our club rules. 

(1).  All members must have their own NCMD insurance certificate. 

(2)  All members must wear the club shirts provided by the club on club events. 

(3). All members must only detect on land that permission has been given on.

(4)  At no point must any member of the club return to event site after the event has finished under any circumstances to ask for personnel permission.

(5) All children MUST be accompanied by an adult member at all times  1 child per adult member only .

(6) All scrap MUST be picked up and put in to scrap bucket provided at the end of the search .

(7) All holes dug MUST be back filled and flattened,

(8) No large spades only small md spades must be used .

(9) Any hoard found MUST be declared to myself or a member of the admin team and F.L.O in the area where search is been done. (FAILURE TO DECLARE A HOARD COULD END UP WITH YOUR  MEMBERSHIP BEEN WITHDRAWN BY THE CLUB.

Have you ever lost something of sentimental value on your property or in your garden or ever wondered who lived or worked on your land before you  ?   We offer a FREE service to the puplic where we  come out to  your property and carry out an organised search of the area you think is of interest .   We are always  looking for new land for the club to search where we charge  £10 to every Club member who attends the search.                                  WWMDC CODES OF CONDUCT ( ALL OUR MEMBERS STRICTLY ABIDE BY THIS.

1. Do not trespass. Always obtain permission first before venturing on to anyone`s land.

2. Respect the Country Code. Do not leave gates open, and do not damage crops or frighten animals.

3. Wherever the site, do not leave a mess or an unsafe surface for those who may follow. It is perfectly simple to extract a coin or other small object buried a few inches below the ground without digging a great hole. Use a suitable digging implement to cut a neat flap
(do not remove the plug of earth entirely from the ground), extract the object, reinstate the grass, sand or soil carefully, and even you will have difficulty in locating the find spot again.

4. If you discover any live ammunition or any lethal object such as an unexploded bomb or mine, do not disturb it. Mark the site carefully and report the find to the local police and landowner.

5. Help keep Britain tidy. Safely dispose of refuse you come across.

6. Report all unusual historical finds to the landowner.

7. Remember it is illegal for anyone to use a metal detector on a protected area (e.g. scheduled archaeological site, SSSI, or Ministry of Defence property) without permission from the appropriate authority.

8. Acquaint yourself with the definitions of the Treasure contained in the Treasure Act 1996 and its associated Code of Practice, making sure you understand your responsibilities.

9. Remember that when you are out with your metal detector you are an ambassador for our hobby. Do nothing that might give it a bad name.

10. Never miss an opportunity to explain your hobby to anyone who asks about it.
